*Remember you must be in the class BOTH semesters and do these papers TWICE to receive credit! WRITTEN WORK
- 3-4 page research report on a famous individual who has influenced dance technique.
- Pick one style of dance and do a 3-4 page report on the history, focusing on the societal change effecting the change in movement quality.
- Write two critical analyses of our original choreographies - talk about technique, style, staging, lighting, costume selection, strong points and areas that could have been improved-(2 pages each)
- Write a 2 page analysis of our high school's dance production. Talk about the dances you felt were the strongest and why. Which dances could have been improved on and how. Talk about the organization of the concert as a whole and suggestions for future concerts.
- Demonstrate more highly developed knowledge of movement techniques including but not limited to, ballet, modern dance, jazz, and musical theater.
- Write a 1-2 page paper evaluating your capabilities and future goals regarding dance. PHYSICAL - THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER
- Perform in at least three school performances. (please list)
- Develop choreographic skills and participate in producing at least one dance number. (please list)
